After a little Christmas season break back to the work.
As build-in cupboards are ready now there comes Pete´s most favourite part of the work – wood. And as many other things all over the bungalows the working top is going to be made of very durable and beautifull mango wood. A bit of sanding now, varnish, oil and…isn´t the finish amazing?
All done and ready to be washed, choped, boiled, baked, stired and fried in 🙂

Roof is up!
And so is the wall around the area. Now is the time to build some kitchen cupboards 🙂

And once Pete starts to build he cannot stop.
The third house, Komba, needed a kitchen…so why not to try something new this time? Big outdoor kitchen area. Real place to gather and spent time with family and friends, cooking, eating, drinking, laughing, living.
And so the drawing is on the paper and preparations begin…
Palm tree trunks to hold the roof, concrete floor, and finally a first bit of roof goes on for so much needed piece of shade … to be continued… 🙂

Another chapter of building the dream begins – this time it is not a new house but our new reception area. We are very excited about it 🙂

Suleiman has made some lovely decoration from shells. This time for Embe house but others will follow.

Using “home made” compost we create new plant beds…this time for lemon grass.
The garden really looks fantastic after the rain season.
